Anteaters put Idaho away, 72-59

BREN EVENTS CENTER -- UC Irvine’s women’s basketball team rallied
from a 31-30 halftime deficit to record a 72-59 Big West Conference
victory over visiting Idaho Thursday night.
Lisa Faulkner was credited with a school record 16 assists.
The Anteaters, 14-8, 7-4 in the Big West, had five players in
double figures, led by Christina Callaway’s 17 points.
Lauren Yadon (14), Kristen Green (13), Wendy Gabbe (12) and
Courtney Ferguson (12) completed the depth-laden attack.
The game was tied twice and the lead changed hands seven times
before the Anteaters gained control.
Idaho falls to 6-15, 4-7.
