The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each
day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree.
The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot
entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this
week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or corn dog or veggie corn
dog, potato smiles, craisins, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Oriental chicken salad with fresh-baked whole grain roll or
hamburger or veggie burger, lettuce and pickles, raspberry fruit
juice bar, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs,
whole grain roll, green salad with ranch dressing, sliced peaches,
choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken nuggets with dipping sauce,
jicama sticks with ranch dip, choice of fruit, Valentine’s Day
cookie, choice of milk
No school Feb. 17 to 21
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry
tomatoes, crackers, protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,
fruit yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts, and dressing.
