A night of their own

There are several important events in a person’s life, some of
which represent major transitions.
One example is the wedding, which represents a transition from
bachelordom to marriage, a state that, in theory, lasts forever. But
it’s a huge leap for many that redefines the rest of their lives.
Another important event is the high school prom, which is arguably
the most important event for children until graduation.
But during its six years, Orange Coast Middle College High School
has been without a prom. Soon, that may all change, thanks to senior
Crystal Nay, who in May should be found all decked out alongside her
handsome date.
It may not be the biggest prom, since the school on Orange Coast
College’s campus only has 85 students, but it’ll be a tradition
Crystal and her classmates will be proud of.
The school may be on a college campus, but these students still
want some high school memories at high school events.
And we can’t blame them. So don’t be surprised if Crystal and Co.
soon ask for a grad night event. They grow up so fast.
