Volleyball club tryouts on Saturday

The Surf City Volleyball Club of Huntington Beach will hold

tryouts for new players in grades six through eight all this month,

beginning Saturday.

The club’s main tryout will take place on Saturday from 3 to 5

p.m. at the Golden West College gymnasium.

Beginners are welcome.

The Surf City Volleyball Club offers a top-notch coaching staff in

boys’ Junior volleyball.

Pop Warner football seeks coaches

Huntington Beach Pop Warner is looking for new coaches for its

upcoming 2003 season.

Tim McCarthy, the league’s athletic director, said that coaches

are needed at all five levels of league competition, and that

previous coaching experience is preferred, but not a prerequisite.
