OCC women squash Dons
COSTA MESA -- Orange Coast College’s women’s basketball team
slammed the door shut on visiting Santa Ana Friday night, jumping to
a 55-15 halftime lead en route to an 88-27 Orange Empire Conference
victory.
The Pirates, 22-4, 7-1 in the OEC, obliterated Santa Ana on the
boards, 57-25.
Alisa Carrillo, who was 8 for 9 from the field and hit all seven
of her free throws, finished with 23 points.
Liz Mendoza had 16 points and Kirsten Von Tungeln had 10 points.
Reserve Amy Shaw was 3 for 4 on three-pointers.
Nancy Hatsushi and Lindsey Galasso each had five assists.
