Baseball Camp set for Huntington Beach High

Huntington Beach High will host its annual Winter Baseball Camp

from Jan. 2 to 4 at the school’s playing fields.

The camp is open to youngsters ages 9 to 13 at a cost of $90 per

player.

Baseball instruction will be given by Huntington Beach head coach

Benji Medure, Oiler assistant coach Cory Burton and Rusty McNamara of

the Atlanta Braves’ AA affiliate.

NHB Black Futbol Club seeks players

NHB Black Futbol Club is looking for several players to compete at

the girls’ under-11 division level.

The team is looking to add players for its upcoming tournaments

and State Cup. Candidates must not have turned 11 as of Aug. 1, 2002.

Team practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 5

p.m. at the NHB soccer field at the Hopeview School site, at Slater

Avenue and Edwards Street.
