Breaker freshmen in tourney play
Sixteen Orange County high schools will be represented at next
week’s Freshman Basketball Fund-raising Tournament, hosted by Laguna
Beach and Laguna Hills highs.
Four games will be played at each site beginning Tuesday, with
four more to be played at each school on Wednesday.
The tournament’s final seven games -- including the championship
game -- will be held at Laguna Hills.
The competition will continue on Thursday and Friday beginning at
4 p.m. and culminate with championship and consolation finals on
Saturday, Dec. 21.
The consolation final will be played at 1 p.m., and the title game
at 3:30 p.m.
Each of the 16 teams are guaranteed to play at least three games.

At Laguna Beach High
4 p.m. -- Marina vs. Corona del Mar
5:15 p.m. -- Capo Valley vs. Northwood
6:30 p.m. -- San Clemente vs. Dana Hills
7:45 p.m. -- Irvine vs. Laguna Beach
At Laguna Hills High
4 p.m. -- Mission Viejo vs. Foothill
5:15 p.m. -- Trabuco Hills vs. Costa Mesa
6:30 p.m. -- El Toro vs. Tesoro
7:45 p.m. -- Anaheim vs. Laguna Hills
