Sharks take first place
The Sharks kept sole possession of first place in the Atom
Division standings last weekend by defeating Fusion, 9-8.
Jared Neely scored three goals and assisted another to lead the
Sharks, who improved their record 7-1-1 and remained half a game
ahead of Raw Steel in the division standings.
Zach Dickson also had a big game, with a pair of goals and a
game-high four assists. Kyle Martins scored twice with an assist,
Zachary Beko scored twice, and Corinne Clegg scored once.
Mike Firestein, Eric Newfield and Dustin Wagers all scored, and
Jason Callahan had an assist for Fusion, which fell to 1-7.

Raw Steel 10, Rangers 3
Raw Steel stayed hot on the heels of the Sharks by scoring eight
goals over the final two periods to subdue the Rangers.
Kyle Merricks topped all scorers with four goals and two assists.
Raw Steel (7-2) also got two goals and two assists from Blake Miller
and a goal and assist each from Joshua Ane and Casidhe Kunichika.
Trevor Jackson scored once, Kristian Burkhardt had two assists, and
Mitch Robinson assisted one goal.
For the 1-8 Rangers, Joshua Swafford scored once with an assist
and Garrett Blackwell and Garrick Langer each scored once.
Mavericks 5, Rangers 2
The Mavericks overcame a 2-1, first-period deficit by scoring the
final four goals to improve to 5-3-1.
Troy Loggins and James Andrews each had one goal and one assist,
Kyle Christi, Travis Bertrand and Jimmy Rodriguez each scored one
goal, and Hamilton Brethreton had one assist to lead the Mavericks.
Austin Shannon recorded 20 saves.
Brett Harper and Garrick Langer each scored, and Brice Rivera had
an assist for the Rangers.
