Kittens
While Christmas kittens are in big demand, dogs are also still
around. The Community Animal Network will offer a purebred Rottweiler
dog at this weekend’s adoption, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, the
network’s founder. Last week it found a home for a Lhasa apso.
Since finding homes for dogs is a much more difficult task, and
the demand for kittens remains high, Pfaff-Martin recommends that
interested families should hurry.
“Each week, we have fewer kittens available, and the ones we have
just get older,” she said. “Why not enjoy a holiday kitten now and
make it a family event to come pick one out?”
Last weekend, five adult cats were put in loving homes, which made
network volunteers very happy, Pfaff-Martin said.
“Adult cats are better than the tiny kittens, as they already have
good house manners and defined personalities we can tell you about.
Besides, it saves lives when you adopt an older animal,” she said.
