Lions’ women lose
FRESNO -- Vanguard University’s women’s basketball team was unable
to keep pace with Cal State Bakersfield in the first round of the
Fresno Pacific Classic Friday and fell, 86-61.
Paulette Seaman and Lacey Mills each scored 10 points, but that
was the extent of positives for the Lions, who fell to 3-3. Vanguard
meets Cal State Stanislaus today at 5 p.m. at the same site.
In the other half of the semifinals, Fresno Pacific was an 86-78
winner over Stanislaus.
