Triple A turns into a car lot
On Saturday, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s
administrative office in Costa Mesa will turn into a full-service
dealership. Hundreds of late-model used Enterprise rental cars will
be sold at discount prices.
The selection includes luxury cars, SUVs and pickup trucks from
Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Toyota and Nissan. Everything will be sold at
mid-Blue Book prices or lower.
Cars come with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited power train warranty
and a seven-day/1,000 mile buyback guarantee. Each car has passed the
Auto Club’s 86-point vehicle inspection and has been inspected by an
Auto Club-approved auto repair facility.
Auto Club members can stop by the lot during sale hours, 9 a.m. to
3 p.m. Financing and auto insurance will also be available. Buyers
can get pre-approved by applying online at www.aaa-calif.com/finance.
Trade-ins will be accepted.

SAMPRAS AT SOUTH COAST
Tennis legend Pete Sampras will be at Macy’s South Coast Plaza
today from 4 to 5 p.m. Sampras will be signing autographs to help
celebrate the grand reopening weekend of Macy’s main store, on Level

DAZZLING GLASS
Iwona, a designer and artist of Polonaise -- mouth-blown European
glass ornaments -- will make a rare appearance from 2 to 5 p.m.
Saturday at Christmas Dazzle. Collectors can pre-purchase Polonaise
and have them signed.

TAKE HOME LODGE
Liza and Tim Goodell’s newest restaurant, Lodge at The Camp, is
offering a gourmet take-home menu for Thanksgiving. The menu serves
eight for $240.
It includes slow-roasted organic turkey with forest mushroom
gravy, wild rice and pine nut stuffing with sausage and sage,
buttered blue lake green beans with toasted almonds, Yukon gold
mashed potatoes, spiced cranberry sauce, caramelized onion-walnut
rolls and pumpkin pie or apple croustade.

A fine art sale with too-good-to-be-true prices is happening at
Sher’s Art Gallery today from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from

jewelry.

The National Charity League Juniors hold an upscale resale
clothing sale the third Thursday of every month at the Ticktocker
Thrift Shop in Costa Mesa. Gently used designer labels are sold at
