Shooting celebrities doesn’t phase me. Being star struck is

something I’m not. So when I had to photograph Arnold Schwarzenegger

campaigning at UC Irvine for after school programs, I approached it

like any other assignment.

Usually speaker shots are straightforward information-type

pictures. But with the amount of people that came out to see Arnie,

the focus of the picture shifted from celebrity meet-and-greet to

finding an angle to capture the chaotic scene, where students filled

every crack and crevice surrounding the podium where the Terminator

stood.

After being pushed, shoved and shut out as I moved through the sea

of people, I found my shot, just inches from the man everybody came

to see.
