* Upper Rim Rock Road: A neighbor contacted police about a dog
that had been barking all night in the 1900 block at 2:52 a.m.
* Seaview Street: A resident reported hearing walking noises on
the roof in the 600 block at 3:23 a.m.
* Scenic Drive: A resident reported that construction workers
left a pile of wood that blocked her driveway in the 31000 block at
10:32 a.m. She called back after they moved it.
* Divers Cove: A man fishing in a “no fishing” zone was reported
at 10:16 a.m.
* South Coast Highway/Pearl Street: Two drums of hydrogen
peroxide were discovered in an empty lot near the intersection at
10:04 a.m.
* Catalina Street: A resident reported that a man was living in a
car outside his home in the 600 block at 12:31 p.m. Police discovered
that the man was waiting in his car for a friend to help out with a
dead battery.
* Broadway: A woman ran into her former employer, who served her
with papers by shoving them down her shirt in the 200 block at 4:12
p.m.
* Acacia Drive/Hill Street: A resident reported that an SUV full
of teenagers was racing up and down the street in the area at 4.45
p.m.
* Cypress Drive: Police received a call about a cement spill in
the 200 block at 4:57 p.m. City workers arrived to clean up the mess.
OCT. 25
* South Coast Highway: A 22-year-old Garden Grove woman was
arrested for public intoxication after a resident called about
someone passed out in the 2100 block at 2:12 a.m.
* Center/Glenneyre streets: An officer tried to stop a bicyclist
who failed to stop at a stop sign near the intersection at 1:24 p.m.
The 52-year-old Laguna Beach resident tried to run into his home but
was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest. He was released on his
own recognizance.
* Bluebird Park: A VW bug was reported on fire at 3:06 p.m.
Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire.
* Laguna Canyon Road: Police dispatch received a misdialed 911
call from the 700 block at 8:16 p.m. The caller explained that kids
were playing with the phone.
* Morningside Drive: A resident reported that kids were urinating
on the lawn and that cars were parked all over the neighborhood in
the 1500 block at 11:02 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A man returned to his hotel room and found
that he had been robbed in the 600 block at 11:17 p.m. There were no
signs of forced entry, and the total value of items taken was $1,300.
The case is under investigation.
SATURDAY
* Ocean Avenue: Police responded to a fight in progress call in
the 200 block at 12:20 a.m. A man reportedly tried to cut in the
restroom line and was asked by bouncers to leave. They got into a
scuffle and the victim ended up with a broken nose and a black eye.
He was transported to South Coast Medical Center and police are
investigating the incident.
* Glenneyre Street: A resident reported that someone gained entry
into a boarded up building in the 400 block at 7:09 a.m.
* Catalina/Monterey Street: A 39-year-old Laguna man fell off his
skateboard and broke his nose near the intersection at 10:54 a.m.
* Bay View Place: A 42-year-old San Clemente resident was
arrested on suspicion for entering a residence without consent in the
700 block at 3:52 p.m. The owner said he walked into his residence
and found the suspect showering. The suspect was released on his own
recognizance.
* Glenneyre Street: Police responded to a call of a strange man
knocking on a resident’s door in the 900 block at 7:59 p.m. They
arrested a 30-year-old Laguna man for public intoxication.
* South Coast Highway/Agate Street: A bus was reportedly stuck in
the intersection at 9:43 p.m. Both sides of the highway were closed
until the bus was moved.
SUNDAY
* Ocean Avenue: Police responded to a fight in progress in the
200 block at 12:02 a.m. They arrested a 37-year-old Laguna man on
multiple warrants for driving under the influence, drunk in public,
resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and selling alcohol to
minors. He was transported to Orange County Jail.
* North Coast Highway: Police received a call about a homeless
man who tried to start a fight with passersby who refused to give him
money in the 100 block at 1:19 a.m. The homeless man was gone by the
time they arrived.
* Main Beach: An officer found a purse at 12:47 p.m. The owner
retrieved it from the officer.
MONDAY
* Cress Street/Mountain Road: An officer pulled a car over for a
driving violation at 6:09 a.m. A 46-year-old Laguna Beach man was
arrested on a Palm Springs warrant for petty theft.
* Main Beach: Police stopped a man because he was reportedly in
possession of knives at 12:17 p.m.
