CARCHIO ON:
* CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS:
Districting is a good idea. The current proposal needs work,
smaller government is good government. Try it.
* PROPOSITION 50:
Buying Bolsa Chica is a good idea. However, using tax funds leaves
the door open for our nonstop spending of state money to raise taxes
-- that’s not good. Let the people speak. That’s why we have
referendums.
* DEVELOPMENT:
Smart growth. Focus on highest and best use of what little land is
left. Increase minimum lot size -- look for best business partners.
* WATER QUALITY:
No extension of Orange County Sanitation District waiver.
No desalinization without public debate. No “toilet to tap”
without a public vote.
* BIGGEST ISSUE FACING HUNTINGTON BEACH:
Keep Huntington Beach as safe as we can afford. Protect the
environment for us and for the tourist trade. Establish, huge effort
to retain, expand, attract and create business sector partners.
