Jr. Midget Dolphins claim share of title
The Huntington Beach Dolphins earned a share of the 2002 Jr.
Midget Division AFL Atlantic Conference regular season championship
last Saturday by defeating the Irvine Chargers, 26-8, in a Jr.
All-American Football contest.
The Jr. Midget Dolphins finished conference play with a record of
4-0-1 and shared the title with the Baldwin Hills Bruins, also 4-0-1.
Huntington Beach will take an overall record of 7-0-1 into the
postseason playoffs, which begin Saturday.

Inglewood 18, Huntington Beach 0
Despite the shutout loss, the Dolphins (3-1, 5-3) finished second
during the regular season in the AFL Central Conference standings and
advance to a first-round playoff game Saturday.
Huntington Beach was coming off a 26-6 win over Irvine.
Future League
Huntington Beach 20, Corona 8
The victory allowed Huntington Beach to finish 3-2 in AFL Atlantic
Conference play and 5-3 overall. The Dolphins finished in second
place to the Inglewood Jets (5-0) and begin postseason play Saturday.
Jr. Clinic Division
Bellflower 31, Huntington Beach 14
The Dolphins ended the regular season at 2-5 overall and finished
in fifth place in the AFL Central standings at 1-4.

Jr. Pee Wee Division
Huntington Beach captured second place in the AFL Central race
with a 3-1 record and will take an overall mark of 5-3 into a
first-round playoff game Saturday.
Jr. Clinic Division
Huntington Beach finished the regular season with a 2-5 record and
placed fifth in the AFL Central with a 1-4 record.
Clinic Division
Huntington Beach went 2-4 against AFL Atlantic Conference
competition during the regular season, good for fifth place, and
finished 2-5-1 overall.
Pee Wee Division
Huntington Beach went 3-5 overall and finished in a three-way tie
for third place in the AFL Pacific Conference with a 2-3 record.
