the roadway, causing traffic to stop and blocking all lanes at 9:12
a.m. Saturday.
* 18th Street: A fight involving about 10 persons, one of them
hitting cars, with a bat, was reported. Broken glass was also
reported in the 600 block at 1:55 a.m. Sunday.
* 8th Street: Someone was reported trying to break through
someone’s front door in the 100 block at 10:19 p.m. Sunday.
* Balboa Circle: Approximately eight shots were reportedly heard
at an elementary school in the 22000 block at 10:28 p.m. Saturday.
* Bayfront Lane: Someone reported that their vehicle had been
broken into and the steering column was damaged in the 20000 block at
1:06 p.m. Friday.
* Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue: A van was reportedly
swerving and cutting people off. Someone in the van was reportedly
trying to pepper spray the driver of another car at 2:48 p.m. Friday.
* Beach Boulevard and Warner Avenue: A vehicle reportedly
rear-ended another vehicle, which caused a vehicle to hit the median
and skid into another car as part of a chain reaction that caused no
injuries, it was reported at 4:28 p.m. Friday.
* Beach Boulevard and Warner Avenue: A woman reported that a man
pushed a woman in front of her moving vehicle, forcing her to swerve
to miss her at 5:58 p.m. Friday.
* Beach Boulevard: A vehicle was reportedly broken into and
property was stolen in the 17000 block at 12:35 a.m. Sunday.
* Beach Boulevard: A woman was reportedly having some type of
breakdown at a self-help meeting in the 19000 block at 9:10 p.m.
Saturday.
* Beach Boulevard: Someone found graffiti painted on the back of
a building in the 17000 block at 12:15 p.m. Friday.
* Beachcomber Drive: Two shots may have been heard in the 7800
block at 6:41 p.m. Sunday.
* Belfast Lane: A person reported that they heard someone
breaking into their front window in the 15900 block at 10:39 p.m.
Sunday.
* Blanton Street: A man reported that he saw someone trying to
steal his car from his driveway. When the culprit noticed he had been
seen, he reportedly took off running in the 16500 block at 2:35 a.m.
Saturday.
* Bolsa Avenue and Goldenwest Street: A man reportedly jumped in
front of a car, made it stop and then started punching the female
driver at 4:36 p.m. Saturday.
* Bolsa Chica Road and McFadden Avenue: A person in a tan Volvo
reportedly threw a rock at a white BMW that was chasing the Volvo at
2:29 p.m. Friday.
* Cameron Street: Two gun shots were reportedly heard in the
17500 block at 1:07 a.m. Saturday.
* Canberra Lane: A man reported that someone had tried to break
into his back door in the 19500 block at 5:19 a.m. Saturday.
* Center Avenue: Someone reportedly tried to pry open a door and
broke a window of a residence in the 7900 block at 8:36 a.m. Sunday.
* Charingcross Drive: A man called to say that he wanted to be
arrested and is having problems with his mother and can’t take it
anymore in the 9700 block at 4:16 p.m. Saturday.
* Delaware Street and Mainmast Drive: It was reported that a
truck was broken into through a window and a stereo was stolen at
6:40 a.m. Friday.
* Doyle Drive: A man reportedly ran outside and saw beans and
food containers in his yard that may have been blown up by fireworks
in the 6000 block at 11:26 p.m. Friday.
* Edinger Avenue and Goldenwest Street: A two-car accident with
no injuries was reported at 10:52 a.m. Saturday.
* Edinger Avenue: Three men were reportedly fighting. One of them
was bleeding and another was about to fall over in the 7700 block at
12:47 p.m. Friday.
* Ellis Avenue: A woman reported that she thought she heard
someone walking on her roof and trying to open a window in the 7500
block at 1:38 a.m. Sunday.
* Fireside Drive: A man reported that his son had been assaulted
in the 9300 block at 10:51 p.m. Friday.
* Gilbert Drive: A woman reported that the house next to hers was
supposed to be vacant but a party was going on there in the 3000
block at 11:23 p.m. Friday.
* Goldenview Lane: Break-ins resulting in animals being removed
and killed were reported on the grounds in the 17000 block at 11:42
a.m. Friday.
* Graham Street: A man reported that he saw a flashlight and a
gun in the rear seat of a vehicle in the 15200 block at 8:36 a.m.
Sunday.
* Hamilton Avenue: A woman called to report her garage had been
broken into in the 9800 block at 10:26 a.m. Saturday.
* Heil Avenue and Saybrook Lane: A man was reported to have been
lying on the curb at 12:37 a.m. Saturday.
* Hillview Circle: A man reported that he got smacked in the eye
in the 16500 block at 8:34 a.m. Saturday.
* Huntington Street: A woman reported that her neighbor was drunk
and ripping the flowers out of her garden in the 1300 block at 7:42
p.m. Saturday.
* Huntington Street: Loud talkers were reported in the 19000
block at 10:29 p.m. Saturday.
* Lambert Drive: It was reported that people had been breaking
into a vacant residence and using it as a crash pad and for other
mischievous activities in the 8000 block at 11:20 p.m. Sunday.
* Lancrest Circle: A man was reported to be in camouflage
clothing, carrying a pistol and talking to himself in the 17900 block
at 5:08 p.m. Friday.
* Lovell Lane: A group of male juveniles reportedly pounded on a
woman’s front door claiming they were the cops in the 16500 block at
10:33 p.m. Saturday.
* MacDonald Avenue: A girl approximately 5 years old called the
child abuse hotline to report her mother’s meth use in the 7900 block
at 9:11 a.m. Saturday.
* Magellan Lane: A man came home and reportedly found a rear
window of his residence broken into in the 16200 block at 10:34 p.m.
Sunday.
* Mahalo Drive: Six gun shots were reportedly heard in the 9100
block at 10:27 p.m. Saturday.
* McFadden Avenue and Edwards Street: A car accident was reported
with one man stuck in the car and something stuck in his eye at 8:47
p.m. Saturday.
* Meer Circle: A man working in a tow yard reported that he found
a suicide note in one of the vehicles in the 17300 block at 7:57 a.m.
Sunday.
* Pacific Coast Highway: Two people reportedly pulled a gun on a
man in a parking lot in the 17200 block at 9 :32 p.m. Saturday.
* Pickwick Circle: A woman reported that she was awakened by
someone kicking in her front door in the 4300 block at 4:13 a.m.
Friday.
* Sardinia Lane: A man was reportedly trying to get into
someone’s lock box and he had his hand down his pants in the 19500
block at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
* Satterfield Drive: A woman discovered that her rear passenger’s
side window had been completely shattered in the 8800 block at 10:09
a.m. Friday.
* Satterfield Drive: A woman reported that a car tried to chase
her son and husband and tried to run them over in the 8800 block at
9:58 p.m. Friday.
* Scenario Drive: Juveniles were reportedly throwing rocks at a
woman’s house, breaking her window in the 4700 block at 5:04 p.m.

* Seaglen Drive: A car was reportedly broken into by breaking the
lock on the door and then stealing the stereo in the 7800 block at
9:12 a.m. Sunday.
* Sheperd Lane: A man reported that while visiting a friend he
had parked in front of a location where the owner came out demanding
him to move his car while using racial slurs in front of his small
children in the 21000 block at 10:18 a.m. Saturday.
* Skimmer Lane: A boy woke up from a nap and couldn’t find his
mom, dad or baby sister after searching all over the house in the
20000 block at 6:26 p.m. Friday.
* Slater Avenue and Graham Street: A man flagged down another
vehicle after he thought he had been shot by a BB gun through the
passenger’s side rear window at 2:43 p.m. Sunday.
* Spartan Circle: A man reported that his daughter had been
receiving death threats in the 16000 block at 5:11 p.m. Friday.
* Talbert Avenue: An aggressive 4-foot lizard was reported on the
loose in the 7100 block at 11:17 a.m. Saturday.
* Vermont Lane: A woman reportedly dialed 911 but didn’t know she
had because she didn’t have her glasses on in the 19500 block at 3:05
p.m. Friday.
* Warner Avenue: A smashed-out vehicle window with several items
taken was reported in the 7500 block at 11:45 p.m. Saturday.
* Warner Avenue: A woman reported that someone was trying to pull
the screen off her window and break through it in the 6700 block at
7:41 a.m. Friday.
* Warner Avenue: It was reported that two men had stolen meat in
