HER EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY:
“The back-to-basics attitude. Teach what’s in the books. That’s
what I’m for. I wouldn’t want that to be changed.”
GETTING MORE PARENTS INVOLVED IN SCHOOL PTAS:
“Each community is different in its own right and each community
has its own way of rallying and getting the parents together, and I
think we need to look into what’s best for each of the schools.”
ON ACCOUNTABILITY:
“If we don’t test our kids, then how are we going to know who’s
accountable for what and what the strengths and weaknesses are in our
community. I think we’re just right in terms of testing.”
ON GETTING NEW VIEWS ON THE SCHOOL BOARD:
“How are we going to know what the new ideas are if we don’t let
someone in with a fresh perspective?”
