ISRAELI ART
An art show and sale sponsored by the B’nai B’rith of Southern
California will be held from noon to 7 p.m. today and Sunday at the
Marriott Suites Hotel, 500 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa. The show will
feature works by major Israeli artists. The Israeli Consulate of
Southern California has endorsed the event and Oren Raz, an Israeli
psychotherapist in Orange County, is helping sponsor it. A part of
the proceeds will benefit the Crisis in Israel Fund. Admission is

FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT
Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church will present “An
Evening of Broadway” with soprano Melinda Koen today at the church,

CROP WALK
The 14th annual United Interfaith Crop Hunger Walk will be held at
1:30 p.m. Sunday around the Newport Back Bay. Twenty-five percent of
the proceeds will go to area agencies that help with hunger relief,
and the remaining 75% will be sent around the world. Participants
should meet at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 2100 Mar Vista Drive,
Newport Beach. Registration begins at 1 p.m. A give-what-you-will
donation will be accepted, as will funds from sponsors of walkers.

SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND HEALING
Healer Evan Mehlenbacher will speak about “A Spiritual Approach to

‘ZEN JUMPSTART’
The Zen Center of Orange County will offer a six-week program
titled “Zen JumpStart” on Tuesdays through Dec. 15 at the Zen Center,
120 E. 18th St., Costa Mesa. Sessions will be held from 5 to 7:15
p.m. Sundays, and the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 7

CARING FOR CREATION
The Orange County Interfaith Coalition for the Environment will
present Caring for Creation V, an interfaith conference on
spirituality and the environment, with keynote speaker Julia

‘WE BEG TO DIFFER’
Temple Bat Yahm will join the Jewish Community of Orange County
and the Community Scholar Program to host a live debate on “We Beg to
