‘ANASTASIA KRUPNIK’
The Laguna Playhouse will open the Youth Theatre season with
“Anastasia Krupnik,” based on the title character of Lois Lowry’s
enormously popular series of books. Anastasia writes about her

her silly grandmother and her crush on Washburn Cummings. The play

The Laguna Art Museum will hold its 20th annual Art Auction. More
than 200 California artists have donated work. The live auction will
be hosted by Stacey Roman, former vice president of Butterfield &
Butterfield. Cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served
starting at 6 p.m.; the live auction will begin at 7 p.m. This year’s
auction will be dedicated to Joan Bedford, who with proceeds from the
first art auction 20 years ago, organized and began teaching art in
local schools. Tickets are $100 in advance or $125 at the door.
Member tickets are $75. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the
Laguna Art Museum’s Art Education and Children’s Programs. The museum

New Zealand Artist Jonathan Quintin will hold a seminar titled
“The Art and Mystery of Sacred Geometry.” In a multimedia color light

GREATEST TWITS
No Square Theatre will present “Lagunatics 10 Greatest Twits” to
raise funds to the winter concert, children’s show and musicals. The
show will run at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday through Oct. 20
at the Forum Theatre on the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna
