The Amigos de Bolsa Chica will
host the 2002 Run For The Birds/Walk For The Wetlands.
Registration will start at 7 a.m. The 10K run will begin at 8:30
a.m., the 5K race at 8:40 a.m., the 5K walk at 8:50 a.m. and the
awards ceremony at 10 a.m. Participants will meet at Bolsa Chica
State Beach on Pacific Coast Highway between Warner Avenue and

The National Brain Tumor Foundation will hold its Orange County
Angel Adventure to raise funds for medical research and patient
services. Activities will include a three-mile non-competitive walk,
lunch and an awards ceremony, where prizes will be given to the top
three fund-raisers and fund-raising teams. Each participant will
receive a T-shirt and goodie bag, and all participants raising the
$250 minimum will be entered in a prize drawing. Registration fee is
$25. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the program will take
place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Huntington Central Park.

The Archeological Institute of America’s Orange County Society
will present Irini Vallera-Rickerson, who will give a
slide-illustrated lecture on women athletes of Greece. The event will
