Breakers break into football rankings

The Laguna Beach High football team, off to a 3-0 start, entered

the CIF Southern Section Division IX Top 10 for the first time this

season.

The Breakers came in at No. 10 in the poll.

The CIF-SS office released on Tuesday its Top 10 rankings for all

Fall sports.

Laguna Beach goes after victory No. 4 tonight at home against El

Segundo, also 3-0 and the No. 2 ranked team in Division X.

Four other Laguna Beach sports teams continue to hold down Top 10

status.

In girls’ tennis, the Breakers were placed in the No. 10 spot.

In cross country, the Breaker boys were ranked fourth in Division

IV, the girls’ team No. 6 in the same division.

The boys’ water polo team, currently participating in the Villa

Park Tournament, was ranked seventh in the latest Division I poll.
