Dolphins get defensive again
The Huntington Beach Jr. Pee Wee Division Dolphins and their
defense were at it again last Saturday at Marina High.
The Dolphins successfully launched AFL Central Division play by
coming up with an all-around effort on both sides of the ball to pin
a 40-0 shutout on the visiting Orange-East Chiefs.
That effort came just one week after Huntington Beach had drilled
Long Beach, 38-0.
“Our entire defensive team is playing really well. We’re happy to
get another big victory,” said Jr. Pee Wee Dolphins Coach Anthony
McLawry, whose squad evened their overall record at 2-2.
Quarterback Tate Forcier threw three touchdown passes, including a
60-yard scoring play to Chad Pierce.
Chad Smith also rushed for one touchdown for the Jr. Pee Wee
Dolphins.
Huntington Beach returns to the field Saturday in Norwalk to take
on the Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs Saints in a 5 p.m. kickoff.
