Plaques will memorialize greats
Costa Mesa officials are looking to memorialize the lives of
residents who gave significant service to the city over their
lifetimes.
The Circle of Service Memorial plaques were designed to
commemorate people who made an extraordinary contribution to the city
or its history in their lifetimes.
The nominated person must have been deceased for at least six
months, been a resident of Costa Mesa for at least eight years and
been involved in at least five years of service to the city or the
nation.
Applications can be completed by a family member, resident, a
business person or member of a nonprofit group.
A Circle of Service dedication ceremony will be held Jan. 24.
Mail or take the application to the City of Costa Mesa Recreation
Division, Circle of Service Nomination, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA
92628. Nominations will be accepted until 5 p.m. Nov. 1.
