The Huntington Beach Historical Society will present the seventh

annual Civil War reenactment. The battles will take place at 1 and 4

TUESDAY

The Golden West College Theater Department will hold open

auditions for a romantic comedy by Phillip Barry, “Holiday.” There

will be seven roles for men, ages 25-55 and five female roles, ages

25-35. The play will run Nov. 1-16. The auditions will start at 7

WEDNESDAY

Merchants from Peter’s Landing will host fund-raising events to

benefit the Orange County CoastKeeper, with free entertainment from 6

to 8 p.m. every Wednesday through the summer. Attendees are welcome

to bring a picnic or eat at one of the restaurants in the marina.

Admission is free for the entire family, although donations will be

The Huntington Beach Craft Fair will be canceled Sept. 6, Sept. 13

The Huntington Beach Playhouse will present “Ladies in

Retirement.” Directed by Terri Miller Schmidt, the story centers

around a companion to a wealthy ex-actress living in a remote country

home who makes plans to provide a permanent home for her two

eccentric sisters to whom she is devoted. Performances will run

Old World Village will host the all-day Sauerkraut and Pork

Festival. The day will include music, food, cooking contests, folk

Save Our Strays of Huntington Beach will host its third annual

Old World German Village will celebrate Oktoberfest Sept. 15
