WEDNESDAY
* Cliff Drive: An injured rat was reported in a driveway in the
700 block at 9:47 am. The reporting party covered it with a yellow
bowl.
* Temple Hills Drive: A goat was reported on a balcony and the
owner thinks that it was an escaped fire goat in the 2000 block at
3:20 p.m.
Sleepy Hollow Beach: A group of juveniles were reported throwing
water balloons at people on the beach at 3:06 p.m.
* Main Beach: A swarm of bees was reported at 4:09 p.m.
* Gunderson Drive: A resident reported that people were making
noise in a tree house that was on city property behind the home. When
officers arrived they called the suspects down and a 20-year old
man admitted to having marijuana. He was cited for possession in the
20000 block at 6:56 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A guest accidentally broke his hotel
window when he stuck his leg through it and suffered minor injuries
in the 400 block at 7:30 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A resident called police when a neighbor
banged on her door. A 32-year old female was arrested for being drunk
in public in the 500 block at 9:47 p.m. She was later charged with
battery on a police officer when she kicked him during her booking.
She was taken to Orange County Jail in lieu of $600 bail.
* South Crescent Bay Beach: Officers on foot patrol cited a male
and female for public nudity at 10:51 p.m. When they walked with
officers to their car, the man was cited for possession of marijuana.
FRIDAY
* Lower Cliff Drive: A nude man was found sleeping in the laundry
room of an apartment building in the 100 block at 7:18 a.m. A 41
year-old La Quinta man was arrested on a Harbor Court warrant for
driving on a suspended license and providing false information as
well as a South Court warrant for possession of less than an ounce of
marijuana. He was taken to Orange County Jail in lieu of $3486 bail.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A 43 year-old Riverside man was arrested on
a warrant for hit and run after an officer stopped to help him when
his car broke down in the 20000 block at 8:28 a.m.
* Shaws Cove: A 33 year-old Lake Forest man was cited for
disobeying a lifeguard at 3:19 p.m. He had been advised by a
lifeguard that he needed a permit to spear fish and refused to
cooperate.
* Cleo Street: A resident flagged down an officer after he
thought he saw a drug deal.
* South Coast Highway: A Laguna transient was arrested for
resisting arrest in the 400 block at 8:55 p.m.
SATURDAY
* South Coast Highway: A man was reported for damaging an L.A.
Times news dispenser after it took his money in the 900 block at 7:52
a.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A woman was reported for slapping a
security guard in the face, claiming her binoculars did not work. She
was arrested for public intoxication in the 600 block at 9:25 p.m.
The security guard did not press charges for assault.
SUNDAY
* South Coast Highway: An officer was flagged down when a female
passed out in front of a nightclub in the 600 block at 12:01 a.m.
* Acacia Drive: A vehicle was burglarized in the 100 block at
7:58 a.m.
* Cypress Drive: A neon lime green Cobra Explorer kayak was
stolen in the 300 block at 5:30 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A 39 year-old Santa Ana man was arrested
for petty theft when he walked out the store with a pack of
cigarettes in the 700 block at 10:22 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A 44 year-old Imperial Beach woman was
arrested for public intoxication in the 30000 block at 9:42 p.m.
MONDAY
* Glenneyre Street: A resident found a smashed flowerpot on the
back of his 1985 red Porsche that was parked in the driveway in the
600 block at 8:23 a.m.
* Bluebird Canyon Road: A home was burglarized in the 1000 block
at 9:29 a.m.
* Calliope/South Coast Highway: The driver of a gold four-door
Suzuki hit a car stopped at a pedestrian crossing near the
intersection at 2:29 p.m.
* Sleepy Hollow Beach: A 30 year-old Lake Forest surfer was cited
for misdemeanor battery after he allegedly grabbed and punched a 15
year-old body boarder at 4:53 p.m.
TUESDAY
* Heisler Park: A camera bag was reported stolen at 12:14 p.m.
* Jasmine Street/Cliff Drive: An officer arrested a 49 year-old
Westminster man for public intoxication after he spotted him passed
out on a bench near the intersection at 12:42 p.m.
