OCC printmaking students show in Tustin
An exhibition of printmaking work by students of Orange Coast
College professor Donna Westerman will be on display through Saturday
at the Old Town Gallery in Tustin.
The exhibit includes work created by students enrolled in
Westerman’s printmaking classes from 1980 through 2002. A graduate of
the Otis Art Institute, Westerman has been a member of OCC’s fine
arts faculty for 36 years. She teaches classes in painting,
illustration and printmaking.
The Old Town Gallery is at 150 E. Main St., Tustin.
Repertory gala to light the night in October
South Coast Repertory will hold its 24th annual gala ball, “Light
the Night,” on Oct. 5 to open the new Folino Theater Center. Guests
will have the opportunity to see the new 336-seat Julianne Argyros
Stage and the renovated Mainstage, renamed the Segerstrom Stage.
“Light the Night” will begin at 6 p.m. Oct. 5 with a reception at
SCR’s new Audience Plaza. The party will continue with dinner and
dancing at the Westin South Coast Plaza from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Single tickets start at $750, with limited availability at $500.

Dunes to host South Coast Fine Arts Festival
The Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort will hold its first South
Coast Fine Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12-13. The
festival will feature artwork, artist demonstrations, an arts and
crafts playground for youngsters, and food. More than 15,000 are
expected to attend.
The festival will cost $5 to enter each day, with tickets
available exclusively at the event. Proceeds will benefit the South
