Woman held up

An armed robber held up the manager of a Marshalls department
store on her way to the bank Monday afternoon with the store’s
weekend take.
A male, described as being between 20 and 25, about 5-feet-8 and
weighing about 160 pounds approached the manager outside the store on
Beach Boulevard. Brandishing a small black handgun, the man allegedly
demanded he hand over the money. Fearing for her safety she gave it
to him, police said. The woman was not harmed.
Police believe the robber was hiding nearby and waiting for the
manger to leave the store, said Huntington Beach Police Sgt Gary
Meza.
The man was wearing a Dodger’s baseball cap, blue jeans and a red
shirt. Police do not know how much money he got away with.
