The Orange County Fair offers plenty of photo opportunities. Some
may sound better than others. What looks good on paper doesn’t always
work out when the camera lens is applied.
With daily coverage, it takes a trained eye to find those special
moments that make the up the fair. Kids showing their talents are
common place in such a setting. There is always someone singing,
dancing or just having fun.
Assignments like covering the Shenanigans’ Youth Theater depend on
the liveliness of the faces and the personalities of the actors to
make the picture pop.
Steve Womack and Rachael Kime seemed to fill the stage with their
presence as they performed “Honey Bun” from “South Pacific.”
Fourteen-year-old Womack was the only guy in a troupe filled with
girls. Yet he was the one caught wearing the skirt.
Capturing a great moment like this always makes for a front page
winner. -- Daily Pilot Photo Staff
