CdM going out a winner

The Corona del Mar boys summer club water polo team finished up
its regular season with a 14-6 victory over Villa Park in the Tustin
Wednesday Night League at Tustin High July 24.
CdM outshot Villa Park, 23-13, en route to the win, improving
CdM’s record this summer to 27-6.
Making 13 steals and having seven assists contributed to CdM’s 14
goals, eight of which Jason DiRocco scored while adding four steals
and two assists.
Ryan Moore scored two as Kevin Amendt, Tom Harper, Daniel Diehenke
and Tom Pearson scored one apiece. Ali Kattan added an assist and
made three steals for CdM.
Beau Stockstill led the charge in net for CdM with five saves as
Tyler Brundage added one save.
Stockstill had two assists and one steal and Brundage added one
steal and one assist. Travis Herst had a shot on goal for CdM.
CdM jumped out to a 5-1 lead after one quarter and took a 7-4 lead
at halftime before scoring seven more goals in the final two
quarters. Villa Park scored only two goals in the third and fourth
quarters combined.
