The Golden West College International Symphonic Band will perform at

the 98th annual Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. The doors will open

JULY 6

The Huntington Beach Playhouse will present “Henry IV, Part I.” Though

titled after his father, the main plot centers around a young Henry V and

his unusual friendship with the gluttonous Sir John Falstaff. Directed by

Wendi de Barros, the play will run from July 6 to July 28. Tickets cost

$7 for students on Thursday nights and $14 to $17 general audience

The Huntington Beach Concert Band is an all-volunteer community

organization with approximately 70 members, led by music director Tom

Ridley. Founded in February 1973, the band plays a wide variety of

musical styles -- from classical, to Broadway, to contemporary. They

perform frequently at events and locations throughout Southern

California, including Disneyland, Leisure World, Huntington Beach Pier

Plaza, and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The Huntington Beach Concert

Band is open to all interested musicians age 18 and over. Rehearsals are
