Black and white tuxedo kittens will be up for adoption this weekend
through the Community Animal Network.
In addition to seeking adoptions, the organization also seeks
donations to cover the cost of vet services, medicines and food.
“Kittens from shelters are often found in bushes, are wild or they are
taken from their mothers early to get rid of them,” said DiAnna
Pfaff-Martin, founder of the network. “Our community members volunteer to
take these unwanted, motherless, flea-ridden, frightened and often sick
little ones into their homes.”
Once rescued, the kittens are raised in private homes and fed premium
pet foods. In many cases, they are even raised with dogs or in active
households with children training them to become great family pets,
Pfaff-Martin said.
The network is a community-supported animal organization linking
people and pets through community action. See other animals available for
adoption at o7 www.animalnetwork.orgf7 or stop by Russo’s pet store at
Fashion Island between noon and 4 p.m. on weekends. Information: (949)
