Vanguard luncheon to focus on leadership

Vanguard University will host a Professional Leadership Series
luncheon today at the Hilton Hotel of Costa Mesa.
The event will focus on surviving business challenges in today’s
economy and will include a panel of local business leaders discussing how
business, education and community leaders can work together to ensure
success in these uncertain times.
The panel will be hosted by E. Read Clarke and include Jon Dietz,
chief executive of Financial Statement Service and Regional Small
Business Person of 2002; Paul La Plante, retired senior vice president of
Ingram Micro; and David Cline, chief executive of Balboa Instruments and
the National Small Business Person of 2000.
The cost of the luncheon is $40 per person or $280 for a table of
eight. Check-in is at 11 a.m. The lunch will start at 11:30 a.m., with the discussion forum immediately following from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.
