Peachy, a 6-year-old, spayed cat who loves having her back scratched

by the family dog, and her housemate George, an orange tabby, will be up

for adoption this weekend alongside last week’s Pet of the Week, Droopy

the basset hound, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Community

Animal Network.

The network has established a “Consign Online for Animals” on its Web

site to give people a chance to sell and buy items for a split profit,

with funds going to the organization.

“The more animals we save, the more money for kitten formula, food and

medicines we need,” Pfaff-Martin said. “Buying or selling something on

our new consignment page will make a difference in a local animal’s

life.”
