City seeks library trustee applicants
-- Paul Clinton
The Newport Beach City Council is looking for qualified residents to
serve on the board of library trustees.
The city has set a 4 p.m. July 3 deadline for applications for the
five-member board.
Council members are scheduled to nominate two individuals for the
single vacancy on the board at their July 23 meeting. A finalist will be
chosen at the Aug. 13 meeting.
A vacancy on the board opened in March, when Catherine Saar-Kranzley
resigned from her post three months before her term ended.
The new term will begin immediately and run through June 30, 2006.
Members of the public may pick up applications for the post at the
city clerk’s office, at 3300 Newport Blvd.
