WEATHER FORECAST
We should continue to clear up in Newport-Mesa relatively early today
through Sunday. So, expect the morning marine layer to burn off by about
10 a.m. Highs will reach the mid-70s in Costa Mesa today, while Newport
Beach will enjoy the upper 60s.
The same will be found throughout the weekend and probably through
next week. Enjoy the weekend.

BOATING FORECAST
Fog will be encountered early. The westerly winds will blow 10 to 15
knots in the inner waters this afternoon, with 2-foot waves and a mixed
south and west swell of 3 to 5 feet. Winds will lighten up tonight.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow stronger at 15 to 20
knots, with 3-foot waves and a mixed northwest and southwest swell of 4
to 6 feet. The swell will build to 5 to 7 this evening. The fog will
return tonight.
SURF
It’ll be a great day for surf when the tide becomes positive in the
late morning. We’ll see plenty of chest- and shoulder-high waves and
should see some head-high sets, especially at standout spots. This trend
should continue through Monday, with many overheads expected this
weekend.
