A garage fire caused about $20,000 in damage to a Newport Beach home
Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Firefighters responded to the call that came from a home in the 1400
block of Warwick Lane about 2:45 p.m., said Newport Beach Fire Capt. John
Blauer.
Three engines, a truck, a paramedic engine and a battalion chief
responded to the single-alarm fire and brought it under control in less
than 20 minutes, he said. The garage suffered moderate damage, and there
was “light smoke throughout the house,” Blauer said. No one was hurt in
the fire.
Blauer said the cause of the fire is still under investigation but
that it “does not seem to be suspicious.”
