The American Cancer Society is urging teams to sign up for “Relay For

Life.” This is an exciting 24-hour event where participants walk, run,

play, camp out, eat, socialize and otherwise have a great time raising

10-20 people pay a $150 registration free and the goal for each team

The Preservation Society of Huntington Dog Beach is getting together

to clean up the beach from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., June 9. Pizza courtesy

Amnesty International Orange County will host the fifth annual Run for

Freedom 2002. This year’s run will be dedicated to bringing attention to

the current situation in Afghanistan and generating action for Rebiya

Kadeer, a Uigher businesswoman imprisoned in China. The 10K run will

begin at 7:30 a.m.; 5K at 8:45 a.m. and children’s 1/2K run at 9:45 a.m.

The Huntington Beach Mothers Club has play groups every day for moms

looking to get together with other moms and toddlers in the area. The
