WEATHER FORECAST
It’s going to be a hot one today -- inland. Along our coast, however,
we should see areas of morning and night fog, followed by highs in the
low 70s in Costa Mesa and the mid-60s in Newport Beach. Overnight lows
should continue to be in the mid-50s.
Thursday’s looking to be pretty much the same, while Friday, cover
your eyes, may bring us some dampness. But anything can change in the
next day or two. Or so we hope.

BOATING FORECAST
Morning and late night fog will be found along the coast today. The
westerly winds will blow 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters this
afternoon, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of 2 feet. Not a bit will
change this evening. Not really anyway.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow a bit stronger at 10 to
20 knots, with 2- to 4-foot waves and a west swell of 4 feet. Winds will
lighten up overnight, but everything should hold steady until then.
SURF
Now that the three-day weekend’s gone, it looks as though a southwest
swell will build in our area a bit. Expect waist- to chest-high waves
today. The sets may get even larger by the end of the week.
