WEATHER FORECAST
The skies will be mostly clear for a sliver of time after the morning
low clouds burn away and before the night low clouds set in. The high
temperature will reach 73 in Costa Mesa and 69 in Newport Beach, with

BOATING FORECAST
The morning fog will be joined by light winds that will build to 10 to
15 knots from the west, with wind waves of 2 feet in the afternoon and
evening. There will be a west swell of 3 feet.
Out farther, the winds will be at 15 to 25 knots to the northwest,
with wind waves of 2 to 4 feet and a northwest swell of 4 feet. In the
evening, the swell will grow to 5 feet.
SURF
The surf outlook should start to improve Wednesday, but for today,
look for ankle- to waist-high waves in poor to fair condition. The waves
around 56th Street look the best, some in the 3-foot range, if you really
have to get out there.
