The Huntington Valley Cardinals found themselves in an early hole
against the Fountain Valley Mets, climbed out quickly, and then went on
to pound their foe, 20-5, in Little League Junior Division baseball
action.
The Cardinals trailed 4-0 after one inning of play, but began to rally
when Bryan Visnoski scored in the second inning.
Visnoski went on to clear loaded bases with a triple in the fourth
inning, and added a double in the fifth.
Valle Fluss keyed the comeback with a three for three performance that
included a double, Matt Pipes hit three singles, David Soscia had two
hits and Kasey Cohen, Paul Clitherow and Eric Uttecht each had a hit.
Maricio Onofre came on in relief and gave up only two hits over the
final 4 1/2 innings for the Cardinals.
