50% off retail prices -- in celebration of the grand opening of its new

store locations. The selection of patio furniture available includes
table sets, umbrellas, chairs, dining room sets, coffee tables, end

The Sutton Place Hotel in Newport Beach is offering a “summer sizzle”

the Accents Restaurant. Rates are from $119 per night. Also included are

South Coast Plaza is once again adding new retail stores and
restaurants. Van Cleef & Arpels is planning to open this month as an
Orange County exclusive. The jewelry designer is known for its designs
and techniques, such as the mysterious setting in which the prongs are
hidden underneath the gemstones. Also, many of the pieces are
interchangeable -- brooches can become hair clips or pendants, earrings
have detachable drops and bracelets can be linked to create necklaces.

designer known for its luxury watches and signature cable collection that
combines 18-karat gold and sterling silver with diamonds and gemstones.
Dooney & Burke is a designer of handbags, luggage and accessories. Its
signature designs are leather-trimmed bags, driving gloves, leather belts
and hats. Yujean Kang’s Asian Bistro, a new restaurant, features Chinese
and Japanese cuisine, including seafood, pasta, wine and dessert prepared
by chef Yujean Kang. Opening this fall are Room & Board, a living room,
dining room, bedroom and office furniture and accessories store, and
Retrospect, offering home furnishings inspired by the past for today’s
homes. Both stores will open at South Coast Village. Bottega Veneta, the
Italian designer of luxury woven leather handbags, shoes and accessories,
will open in September. Opening later this year is Jimmy Choo, which
carries the hottest styles in women’s footwear as regularly seen in Vogue
and Harper’s Bazaar.
Summerhill Floral & Gifts is having a 50%-off sale on its selection of
silk flowers, topiaries, orchids, palms and trees. It also has a new
consignment store a few doors down, next to Plum’s Patio on East 17th

Chimayo Grill at Fashion Island opened a “Mixed Media Exhibit” to be
shown through August. The exhibit, curated by Studio Gallery, shows
mixed-media artists Joseph Hawa and Jean-Milu Truesdale through August.
The popular American Southwest restaurant was selected by Studio Gallery,
a gallery that exhibits art in alternate locations and gives
well-established and up and coming artists exposure in public locations.

The Costa Mesa Senior Center is having a celebration walk, “Step Out
for Senior Centers,” at 9 a.m. Saturday. Local participation is open to
people of all ages and was designed to promote awareness of the services,
