Three armed men escaped with an unknown amount of money after
committing a takeover style robbery at a local branch of California
Federal Bank Tuesday morning, police said.
The men entered the bank in the 7200 block of Edinger Avenue about
11:30 a.m. and ordered all employees and customers to the floor,
officials said.
Two of the alleged robbers then went up to the cash drawers and took
an unknown amount of money, police said. They fled in a car that was
later found to have been reported stolen to the Los Angeles Police
Department.
Huntington Beach Police found the getaway car abandoned in a parking
lot at Golden West College, officials said.
No one was hurt in the heist.
