lot sale with the former owners of Gardenia (previously at The Cannery

The 29th annual Newport In-Water Boat Show is happening this weekend
at the Newport Dunes Resort Marina in Newport Beach. There are more than
500 new and used boats on display, and all of them are priced at
boat-show prices. There will also be exhibits featuring electronics, gear
and accessories; and the latest in model boats and yachts from around the
world. Admission is $10 for adults, and children 12 and younger are free.
The boat show will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Almost 100 of the world’s most rare Mercedes-Benz models are on
display today and Sunday at the 25th annual Mercedes-Benz Exhibition at
Fashion Island in Newport Beach. The nationally renowned event is one of
the largest non-judged Mercedes-Benz exhibitions of antique, vintage and
classic models. The event is free to the public, and a portion of the
proceeds from sponsors, supporters and advertisers will go toward Olive
Crest Homes and Services for Abused Children. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5

Strawberries will be honored on Sunday at the third annual Strawberry
Sunday Funfest and Classic Car Show at the Orange County Market Place in
Costa Mesa. The event features a car show spotlighting red cars, trucks
and motorcycles. The competition entry fee is waived for red cars of all
shades and white cars with red interior. All others must pay a $10 fee in
advance or $15 at the show. There will be a competitive division for
classic cars and motorcycles. A Championship Strawberry Pie Eating
Contest is also planned, complete with pies made from locally grown
strawberries, and an assortment of strawberry food items. Entertainment
will be provided by the Big Shots, starring Johnny Fabulous. The Funfest
and Car Show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Flower Warehouse in Costa Mesa has weekly specials on beautiful
flowers that are often marked down 75% from retail prices. Examples of
current specials are Dutch tulips -- a 10-stem bunch for $7.99, gerbera
daisies in spring colors at 50 cents each, daffodils at $2.99 a bunch,
iris in spikes of blue, violet or yellow at 79 cents a stem. The
warehouse has received a new shipment of lilacs, one of the most
beautiful seasonal flowers on the planet, at $9.99 a bunch. Flower

from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, featuring the latest in walking shoes

Tuesday Morning’s latest advertised bargain is the SteamFast
