Boys tennis: CdM takes care of Northwood

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High senior Cameron Ball, who is

seemingly on course to face University High’s Aaron Yovan in the Pacific

Coast League individual finals next week, swept in singles as the Sea

Kings defeated visiting Northwood, 14-4, Thursday.

CdM senior Tyson Hunter and freshman Wesley Miller posted two singles

victories each, while the Sea King tandems of Garrett Snyder and Carsten

Ball, and Erik Frisbie and Bryan Warsaw earned three doubles wins each.

CdM improved to 20-2, 8-2 in the PCL, and Northwood dropped to 6-4 in

league.

The PCL individual tournament begins Monday at CdM and semifinals and

finals take place Tuesday at Palisades Tennis Club.

Jhunjhnuwala, 6-0; Hunter (CdM) lost, 3-6, won, 6-0, 6-2; Miller (CdM)

Doubles - Snyder-Car. Ball (CdM) def. Moody-Aarnaes, 6-0, def.

Strenk-Wolf, 6-0, def. Murdia-Eisner, 6-2; Frisbie-Warsaw (CdM) won, 7-5,

6-2, 6-1; Roberts-Saida (CdM) lost, 6-7, won, 6-3, lost by default.
