Tim Allen, executive director of the Assessment and Treatment Services
Center, announced recently that Lincoln will be the presenting sponsor of
the 20th annual Newport Coast Concours d’Elegance.
The 2002 Concours, geared toward helping children and families
involved in the center, will be Lincoln’s fifth time sponsoring a
Concours.
“Sponsorship of a Concours like this one brings us close to the
customers who buy and appreciate our vehicles, both current and past,”
Lincoln Promotions Manager Robert Witter said in a press release.
For the second year in a row, AutoWeek Magazine will join Lincoln as a
participating sponsor.
“We are truly excited to join Lincoln as a sponsor of this prestigious
Concours d’Elegance and to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the
classic event,” said Steve Bottom, western advertising manager for
AutoWeek.
The Concours is a major automotive event, with roughly 200 cars
including antiques, European and American classics from the 1920s and
‘30s, sports and muscle cars from the ‘50s and ‘60s and various race
cars.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at Hidden
Valley at Irvine Meadows in Irvine.
