Costa Mesa American Little League: Yankees overpower White Sox
The Costa Mesa American Little League Yankees of the Major Division
used sound pitching and an elite level of hitting to take over the White
Sox and win, 11-5.
Yankee ace Justin Reyes pitched three innings, that included seven
strikeouts, no hits and no runs. Andrew Niles also went three innings for
the Yankees, striking out six, while scattering five hits.
Yankees Benny Lounsbury, Andy Dawson, Chris Robinson and Justin Reyes
pounded an RBI double each. Alex Workman, Skylar Twohig, Andrew Niles
contributed RBI singles.
In CMALL Minor B action:
White Sox 15, Athletics 5 - The White Sox, who improved to 4-0,
produced a season-high 14 hits. Justin Poldrugo, Marcus Kiel, Chris
Blasing, Chris Le, Jack Jeffries and Ethan DeBerry contributed in the
White Sox’s dominating victory, while Lindsay Dawson, Nick Dawson, Tommy
Werdel, Shane Davis, Kamran Quershi and Tyler Scheffner also chipped in
solid efforts.
