40 Newport-Mesa students earn honors
More than 40 Newport-Mesa Unified School District students were
honored Tuesday by the National Society Daughters of the American
Revolution.
Three of the students won a medal and a $20 check for their American
history essays.
Five district students were recognized as DAR Good Citizens for
showing outstanding leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in
the schools and community. The rest were recognized as Good Citizens for
showing outstanding qualities of citizenship within their school and
community.
