The next meeting of the Newport Coast Advisory Committee will take
place April 8 because of the Spring Break holiday.
Committee members plan to address the issue of whether to use $8
million from the city to build a community center for Newport Coast
residents. They will discuss ways to measure community interest in
building a community center at Newport Ridge Park site, at the empty lot
on Pelican Hill Road North or at an undeveloped area on Ridge Park Road.
The meeting is open to the public. It will take place from 5:30 to 7
p.m. at Coastal Canyon Clubhouse, Ridge Park Road, past Newport Coast
Elementary on the south side of road.
Information: city manager’s office, (949) 644-3000.
