Prep baseball: Back bay game invites youth baseball
NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor High baseball team will host
Back Bay rival Corona del Mar March 30, 11 a.m. and the squads are
inviting local youth baseball teams to join in pregame and postgame
festivities.
The game, also known as Youth Baseball Day, will open the Pride of the
Coast Tournament. Newport Coach Joel Desguin and CdM Coach John Emme are
asking players from the Newport Beach Little League and the Newport
Harbor Baseball Association to arrive at the game in their uniforms at 10
a.m. The youth baseball players will take the field with both high school
teams for the National Anthem. During and after the game, prizes,
including Angels and Dodgers tickets, as well as Newport Harbor High and
CdM apparel, will be given in raffle-drawing.
