Boys tennis: Lightning double trouble
CYPRESS - Sage Hill High doubles tandems Kent Kuran and Todd
Martakab, as well as Eric Burton and Alex Myla swept three sets apiece to
lead the visiting Lightning to a 14-4 Academy League boys tennis triumph
over Oxford Academy Tuesday.
Kuran and Martakab, both freshmen, won 18 of 22 games, while Burton and
Myla, both sophomores, won 18 of 24 to help the Lightning improve to 2-3,
2-0 in league.
Oxford fell to 2-4, 0-2.

Singles - Milovantsev (SH) lost to Ang, 0-6, def. Choi, 6-0, def.
Tedoquin, 6-0; Hamilton (SH) won, 6-0, 6-0, lost, 1-6; Cordier (SH) won,
6-0, 6-1, lost, 0-6.
Doubles - Baskin-Livingston (SH) def. Nguyen-Rirk, 7-6, lost to
Clausen-Montgomery, 2-6, def. Copeland-Rogenkamp, 6-0; Burton-Myla (SH)
won, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3; Kuran-Martakab won, 6-1, 6-2, 6-1.
